Limits
on the use of your Taxicard
- You cannot
travel without both your Taxicard and photocard under any circumstances,
unless you are prepared to pay the full fare.
- You
may only use the taxis and Private Hire Vehicles of the contractors
in the London Taxicard scheme.
- You must
not allow anyone else to use your Taxicard
- You must
not use the scheme to send packages or have anything delivered unless
you accompany the item for the full journey.
- You must
not make journeys to and from work if you are receiving payment from
the Employment Services Agency under its scheme for assistance with
taxi fares to work.
- You must
not allow the card to be swiped other than at the beginning and/or the
end of your journey.
- You may
use your Taxicard to make any type of journey you wish unless your Borough
has informed you of any restrictions on journeys. Your journey must
start or finish in one of the 33 London boroughs.
Note: Misuse of your Taxicard may lead
to its being withdrawn.
Lost
/ Stolen / Damaged Taxicards
If you need a replacement Taxicard because it is lost, stolen or damaged
(it does not swipe through the machine in the taxi) you should contact
London Councils Taxicard on
020 7484 2929 or taxicard@londoncouncils.gov.uk.
If London Councils Taxicard has a spare photograph of you on file your
new card will be posted to you on the same day, or on the next working
day
at
the latest.
If there is not a spare photograph, you will be asked to send one in.
We cannot issue a new card without a photograph.
Please note that if you choose to travel before you receive your replacement
Taxicard you will have to pay the full fare.
Changes of address
or other personal details
Please inform London Councils TEC Taxicard on 020 7484 2929 or taxicard@londoncouncils.gov.uk if there are any changes to your address, phone number, name or any
other personal details.
Note:
If you move out of your Borough into another participating London Borough
then you will have to reapply to your new Borough. If you move to an area
that does not fall within one of the participating London Boroughs you
will no longer be eligible for the scheme.
